He began his career in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, progressing to Marketing Director of a £250m. managing agency. He has since worked with brands around the world in the construction, education, and IT sectors.

Ian is a qualified accountant with significant experience in a variety of industries, both in the UK and Europe, with the ability and experience to bring stability and control to an unstable environment. He won the 2007 Journal North East Business Award for MBO/MBI of the year. He has integrated finance functions in acquisitions and shared service centres, implemented strategies to de-risk financial positions, and managed cash flow positions. His years as a Mathematics Teacher means that he is adept at using interpersonal skills to build relationships and upskilling staff by improving financial literacy. He was the head of the GB Sport Climbing Team for 5 years overseeing the implementation of the support systems necessary to give athletes the best chance to maximise their potential in one of the world’s fastest growing sports.

Charlotte Starkmann

Charlotte Starkmann is a management consultant of over 20 years’ experience, working with company directors to improve their operating models and systems. Her focus is the people elements that can make or break a company’s performance.
